A location anchored by Worldwide Automakers and surrounded by the High Tech suppliers that work every day to make our auto industry great. Many 2nd and 3rd tier suppliers do not have their own test facilities. By having an office in this section of the Michigan Motor Sports Park project it will allow the supplier access to a Allen Wilson designed 5 mile test track right in the back yard. Vehicle and component testing will be conducted on a variety of specialty pavements and inclines. In addition to the OEM's the Performance Aftermarket is a $27.8 billion dollar a year industry. Companies that cater to this market, in addition to the test track will benefit from the drag race facility that will also be available for their use in testing, research and development of new and exciting performance and racing related components. This will be Michigan's premier luxury automotive lifestyle resort and track. A membership based facility, featuring a challenging 7 mile road course that includes a 1 mile straight away. The club will feature a lavish Club House, onsite vehicle storage, and full service auto care. For the do-it-yourself member, a mechanics bay with vehicle lift stocked with the basic tools.
For many people their passion has outgrown their garage, for that Michigan Motor Sports Park can offer these members the opportunity to purchase a track side "Auto-Minium" condo unit. This will provide the ultimate combination garage and living space. For the serious car collector or motor sports enthusiast owning a 7,000 s.f. track side building to keep all their prized possessions in, maybe the ideal solution. The Road Course
In addition to Country Club members use of the road course, there are numerous other weekend events that can be held at this facility. Motor Sports enthusiast from around the region will converge on Wayne County to attend these events. Some of these events can attract as many as 80,000 fans over a 3 day race weekend. The Michigan Motor Sports Park team will secure a fixed schedule of recurring sanctioned events.
Currently there are no Automotive Country Clubs in Michigan.
A recent Street & Smith's, "Sports Business Journal" listed AMA second as "Property Best Positioned for Growth". An "AMA - American Superbike" 3 day race weekend has an average attendance of 55,000 fans.
